They were chosen for the Performance Ensemble for the 2025-2026 school year!

Two Liberty Christian School students have been selected as part of Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre’s exclusive Performance Ensemble for the 2025-2026 school year.

Seniors Presley Anderson and Annalee Spitler are two of just 49 high school students to be selected for this prestigious honor, which Broadway Dallas says it received hundreds of competitive applications for from across the North Texas region.

“Being chosen, first of all, is huge,” says Liberty Christian Fine Arts Director Jennifer Freeman. “Getting to work with the industry professionals and being among other students who are really talented just widens their network. And, of course, I think it helps them with relationships within the theatre world. They’re going to get to rub shoulders with a lot of talented people.”

These two Warriors will represent Liberty at different Broadway Dallas functions throughout the year – such as dinners, conferences, and performances – by showcasing their talents through ensemble numbers and solos.

“Presley is a true triple threat,” says Freeman. “She’s good at singing, acting, and dancing. She’s always been very professional and just so talented beyond her years. She’s really sweet.

“And then Annalee is talented in all of those things too. I think what makes Annalee so special is her humility. I love that child because she is so sweet. She is very talented, but you would never know how talented she is by the way she carries herself. She doesn’t talk a lot about herself. So, I’m so excited that she got this. It’s a big deal for her.”

Both Anderson and Spitler will be in Liberty’s upcoming production of “Freaky Friday” from Oct. 2-4, with the former starring as Ellie Blake and the latter as Katherine. Both have extensive experience in the spotlight.

Spitler has been recently seen in productions such as “Oliver” (Nancy), “Matilda” (Mrs. Phelps), “Fiddler on the Roof” (Shaindel), “Shrek” (Three Blind Mice), and others like “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Hello Dolly!” and “Shakespeare in Love.”

Anderson has recently been in "Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812" (Natasha), “Matilda” (Miss Honey), "Singin' in the Rain" (Kathy Seldon), "Fiddler on the Roof" (Chava), “Shakespeare in Love" (Viola De Lesseps), and "Cinderella" (Cinderella). For the past two years, she has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Performer at the Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards. This year, she was awarded runner-up at the High School Musical Theater Awards (HSMTA) to represent at the Jimmy Awards in New York City.

“I’m so proud of them!” says Freeman. “I’m really proud of them for sending in the audition and doing all the steps to do that to advocate for themselves. I’m just proud of them that they’re going to represent Liberty well.”
