This season is a special time of year on the Liberty Christian. Fall is in the air, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner.

This season is a special time of year on the Liberty Christian School campus. Fall is in the air, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, and it’s Homecoming! This week is filled with a variety of fun themes, celebrations, a parade, the homecoming court presentation, and Friday night lights. Our students, faculty, and staff dress in costumes to celebrate heroes, demonstrate school spirit, and in some cases, just to have fun!

More importantly, this time is a season where we welcome back our alumni, former colleagues, and our own children from college. Homecoming week provides an opportunity for us to remember and celebrate special Liberty memories as we reconnect with friends, families, mentors, and the Liberty community. The lifelong connections that are woven in shared stories and memories elicit reminders of the goodness of the Lord’s work here at Liberty Christian School.

Homecoming is also a beautiful opportunity for our community to come together and share the testimonies of what God is doing in our lives and the life of our school. In Mark 5:19, Jesus delivers a man from demon possession and tells him to, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.” We all have testimonies about the Lord’s favor in our lives. I love to hear how the Lord is working in the lives of our alumni and their families.

As we welcome back our alumni and their families, my prayer is that this weekend will be a blessed time of fellowship, remembrance, reconnection, and joy.

Alumni, welcome home!

There are many ways we as a Liberty community seek to strengthen our relationships with our forever Warriors and their families.

Homecoming is just one of the many opportunities where we hope to engage and celebrate our alumni. It is our desire to see alumni connected to not only the school but also their peers as they navigate life after Liberty. Our intention is to create multiple avenues for our alumni to maintain these connections, including networking events and a developing alumni committee dedicated to fostering the relationships of our alumni from all decades.

Alumni, we’d love for you to connect with us on LinkedIn so you can network with other Liberty alumni and receive information of upcoming events and opportunities throughout the year. Simply add Liberty Christian to the education section of your profile, and you’ll automatically be added to the alumni page.

We love to highlight our alumni on our social media and website. Please share any celebrations, news, or achievements by emailing alumni@mylcs.com.
