Cheer has now won a State Championship and National Championship in the same season!
History continues to be made by the Liberty Christian School Cheer team, this time at the 2025 UCS National High School Cheerleading Championships in Florida, by claiming a fourth national championship victory.
Our Warriors claimed the top spot in the nation in the Traditional Medium Varsity Division II category, which includes public schools, with a final score of 92.3, which was good for a two-point margin over second place Somerset High School. Liberty was one of two schools without a deduction in the finals.
"We are incredibly proud of our athletes and their outstanding performances!" head coach Stephanie Jones said. "This weekend marked our 10th anniversary of competing at UCA Nationals, and we are thrilled that every team throughout the years has advanced to the finals!"
Liberty's Cheer team also placed fourth in Super Varsity Gameday DII, while JV placed 5th in their division.
"The hard work, dedication, and resilience demonstrated by our teams made this weekend truly special," Jones said. "We are delighted that all of our teams finished in the top 5, and we made history with a victory in the highly competitive Medium DII traditional division, along with our first-ever JV team competing!
"This team has been a decade in the making! It has been a blessing to witness the program's growth, and we are immensely grateful for every athlete who has been part of this journey and contributed to this remarkable win."
This year's National Championship victory is the fourth in school history (2020, 2021, 2023, 2025). The win also coincides with a state championship won by our Warriors earlier this year, which marked their 11th in a row dating back to the 2014 season.
Congratulations again to our Cheer team for being four-time National Champions!
