Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Liberty Christian School collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from Users of the www.libertychristian.com website. This privacy policy applies to the Site and all services offered by Liberty Christian School. 

This Privacy Policy does not address information obtained from other sources such as submissions by mail, phone or other devices, or from personal contact. By accessing Liberty Christian School’s website and/or providing information to the School on the school’s website, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of certain information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The School shall comply with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to data privacy and security including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), and all other Texas and federal privacy laws applicable to the School.

Definitions

"We," "us,” “our" or "the School" mean Liberty Christian School.

"You," "your," and "User" mean you and any individual or entity using the Site on your behalf or via your account (with or without your consent).

“Site” means the Liberty Christian School website located at www.libertychristian.com."

Personally Identifiable Information" means information that would not ordinarily be publicly available and that identifies you individually, such as your name, residential address, personal e-mail address, geolocation (your mobile internet device’s longitudinal and latitudinal information), and personal phone number.

Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect Personally Identifiable Information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but

not limited to, when Users visit the Site, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities,

services, features or resources we make available on the Site. Users may be asked for information such as, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information. We will collect Personally Identifying Information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. You should not submit any information that you do not want to be retained. After we have taken the appropriate action in response to your submittal, we retain the information you submit for our records and to contact you from time to time. Users can always refuse to supply Personally Identifying Information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Notice to children under the age of 13 and their parents or legal guardians: if you are under the age of 13 and would like to contact the School please do so through your parents or legal guardians. The Site is only intended for adults. Liberty Christian School does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, do not send the School any personal information including without limitation your email address, name and/or contact information. If we learn that someone under the age of 13 has provided any Personally Identifiable Information through the Site, we will remove and permanently delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.

Non-Personal Identification Information

You are not required to provide Personally Identifying Information to access certain parts of the Site. When you access the Site without actively providing any Personally Identifying Information, we may still collect limited technical information. For example, we may collect Personally Identifying Information like the type of computer and technical information about Users’ means of connection to the Site, such as the operating system, name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet; the browser name and software you use; the Internet address of the website from which you linked to the Website, the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information. The information we automatically collect may be used to improve the Website to make it as useful as possible for our visitors; however, such information will not be tied to the personal information you choose to provide to us.

Web Browser Cookies

The Site may use "cookies" to enhance User experience. User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Although most web browsers accept cookies automatically, usually you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How We Use Collected Information

Liberty Christian School may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

  • To personalize user experience
    • We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on the Site.
  • To process payments
    • We may use the information Users provide about themselves when making a purchase on the Site only to provide service to that order, or when making a donation on our donation form. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
  • To send periodic emails
    • We may use the email address to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests.

How We Protect Your Information

The School maintains adequate data security measures, consistent with industry standards and technology best practices, to protect information from unauthorized disclosure or acquisition by an unauthorized person. We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on the Site. Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel. 

Some areas of the Site are secured and can only be accessed using unique login credentials. You must have a specific user identifier (user ID) and password to access resources through any password-protected portions of the Site. Your login credentials and password are for your use only and strictly confidential. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of those credentials and are responsible for all activity occurring on the Site using your login credentials and password. You are strictly prohibited from any sharing of your login credentials and/or password with any other person(s) and from any use of your login credentials other than for your use of the Site in compliance with this Policy.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ Personally Identifying Information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any Personally Identifying Information  regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

The School does not rent or sell personal information that you choose to provide to the School nor does the School disclose credit card or other personal financial information to third parties other than as necessary to complete a credit card or other financial transaction or as required by law. The School does engage certain third parties to perform functions and provide services, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, customer relationship, database storage and management, payment transaction and direct marketing campaigns. We will share your information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform the functions and provide the services, and only pursuant to binding contractual obligations requiring such third parties to maintain the privacy and security of your data. Please note, however, that no form of electronic communication is completely secure, and you should use caution whenever providing personal information online.

Security Breaches

When the School reasonably suspects and/or becomes aware of an unauthorized disclosure or security breach concerning any Personally Identifiable Information, the School shall notify those impacted by the breach in accordance with relevant laws.  . The School will then take appropriate steps to limit and mitigate the damage of such security breach to the greatest extent possible. If the incident involves criminal intent, then the School will follow direction from law enforcement agencies involved in the case.

Third Party Websites and Information

Users may find advertising or other content on the Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the School. The School has not reviewed all of these websites linked on the Site and does not control the content that appears on these sites. Accordingly, the School is not responsible for the content or practices employed by websites linked to or from the Site. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link on the Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies. Use of any such website is at the User’s own risk.

Although we strive to ensure the accuracy of all information we provide, we cannot ensure the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information posted by other Users, nor the accuracy of their stated identities. We act as a passive conduit for the publication and distribution of information and communications and have no obligation to screen or monitor such materials. Certain content of the Site is not an official statement of the School and the School is not responsible for the content of every page that you can reach through the Site. Likewise, while we request that our Users abide by all applicable laws and accepted social conventions in their dealings with each other, we cannot ensure that they comply with this request. Therefore, we do not warrant and must disclaim all responsibility and liability for any and all aspects of information provided, identity claimed, or conduct evinced by the users of the site.

We expect you to exercise caution, prudence, and good judgment in your dealings with other users of the Site. You assume all responsibility for your decisions in this regard and any consequences thereof.

Liberty Christian School has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your Acceptance of These Terms

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Posting the Components on other websites is strictly prohibited.

If you believe any content infringes any copyright owned by you, you agree to notify the School as soon as practical after you become aware of a possible infringement. The School makes no representations or warranties about the Site or the materials and/or content and/or links on the Site for any purpose. Any information you provide, you do at your own risk. This information should not be used as a substitute for consulting with the School or other providers.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the School and its affiliates harmless from and against any and all liability, claims, actions, demands, damages, or costs arising directly or indirectly from (i) your actual or alleged breach of any of these Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or any other terms governing your use of any aspect of the Site, (ii) your violation of any law or regulation, (iii) your infringement of any personal or proprietary right, or (iv) any aspect or consequence of your use of the Site.

Acceptable Use

You must not use the Site in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Site or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Site; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity. You agree not to disrupt, modify, or interfere with the Site or its associated software, hardware and servers in any way and you agree not to impede or interfere with others’ use of the Site. You further agree not to alter or tamper with any information or materials on or associated with the Site.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

By visiting the Site, you agree that these Terms for all purposes shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to principles of conflict of law, and that any action based on or alleging a breach of these provisions shall only be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas. In addition, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Unenforceable Provisions

If any provision or term is, or is found to be, unenforceable under applicable law, that will not affect the enforceability of the other provisions or terms.

Breaches

Without prejudice to the School’s other rights under these terms, if you breach these terms and conditions in any way, the School  may take such action as the School deems appropriate to deal with the breach, including suspending your access to the Site, prohibiting you from accessing the Site, blocking computers using your IP address from accessing the Site, contacting your internet service provider to request that they block your access to the Site and/or bringing court proceedings against you.
