The Liberty Christian School Student Government is hosting a Sadie Hawkins Masquerade Dance for students in Upper School (9th grade - 12th grade). The dance will be held on campus in Commons Place on Saturday, January 19 from 8 – 11 p.m. Tickets to the dance are $10 each and may be purchased in advanced beginning Wednesday, January 9 through Friday, January 19. Tickets will be sold during lunch in the Commons just outside the cafeteria.
Traditionally, a Sadie Hawkins dance allows the girls to ask the boys as their guest to the dance. While girls are already asking boys in fun and creative ways, most students are attending as friends, and students are highly encouraged to attend with or without a date!
The attire for the night is “Semi-Formal.” Translated that means slacks for boys with shirts/sweaters and pants, skirts, dresses for girls. As with all Liberty functions we ask our young ladies to dress modestly which includes no overly tight clothing, no cleavage showing, and skirt/dress length no more than 4” above the knee.
Students bringing a guest from another school are required to fill out a Visitor Reference Form which is available in Mrs. Joyner’s office. This form is due back to Mrs. Joyner on Wednesday, January 16. Along with the completed form, guests must also obtain a letter from their school, signed by an administrator, and on school letterhead, stating they are a student in “good standing.” Please encourage your child to allow themselves enough time to get this done by the deadline.
We look forward to the 2nd Sadie Hawkins Dance at Liberty on Jan. 19!
Tickets are $10 and go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 9 The event will be held in Commons Place and is Student Government led.
