On the 101st day of school, first grade students come to school dressed as dalmatians and enjoy a day full of fun and learning, as well as celebrating 101 days of school!
First grade students spend a fun day on the farm where they get to enjoy a hands-on experience with more than 150 animals. During their time there, they also enjoy tractor-drawn hayrides, cow milking, pig racing, and picking out pumpkins!
First grade students visit the Dallas World Aquarium in the spring, learning about the different animals and habitats they've studied throughout the year in science.
First grade students spend their Missions Day helping with local projects around the school. Students pick up trash around campus, wipe down the tables and chairs in the commons areas, clean the tables and chairs in the cafeterias, clean the PE equipment, and then have a picnic lunch on the playground. Students love helping around campus. They truly believe they are making a difference, and it encourages them to help out more at home and in their communities.
