Alumni Spotlight: Benjamin Khoshbin

2016 LCS graduate Benjamin Khoshbin currently studies international relations with a focus on the Middle East at American University in Washington, D.C.

After graduating from Liberty, he took advantage of an opportunity to intern with Texas State Representative Tan Parker last summer.
His hard work for legislators didn’t start after graduation, though. As a Liberty student, he interned for Texas State Senator Jane Nelson in her district office.
“I did whatever it took to get ahead,” Ben said on a recent visit to Liberty. “Connections, even in high school, are huge!”
Last month, Ben attended the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., including the Thursday evening concert, the Inaugural Ball, and swearing-in ceremony.
“It was pretty surreal,” Ben said of the experience. “It never really hit me that Trump was our President until the following day.”
This summer, Ben will spend his days interning for Congressman Michael Burgess, Chairman, Subcommittee on Health. Ben will work on healthcare issues, but he will also provide Capitol tours to visitors and share his knowledge of history learned at Liberty and American.
So if you happen to be in Washington, D.C., this summer, ask for a Capitol tour from LCS alumnus Ben Khoshbin!
