Upper School

FCA builds fellowship between athletes at Liberty Christian School and further educates our members how to be leaders, as well Christian athletes on and off the playing field.

Interact is a service club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with other young people and have fun while serving their communities and learning about the world. Clubs, which meet at least twice a month, are sponsored by local Rotary clubs.

Interact clubs organize two projects every year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Members of sponsor Rotary clubs mentor Interactors as they carry out the projects and develop leadership skills. 

The Leadership Academy is a program aimed to develop students into Christian leaders, building godly character that will last a lifetime.

Leadership Academy has five core values that represent key aspects of spiritual growth and maturity that are found in scripture: truth, community, purpose, discipleship and character. Each value is fully learned and partnered with activities that are chosen and completed at the student’s discretion.

The organization meets once a month, at which time students will discuss their progress, practice leadership skills in various ways and glean valuable information from guest speakers. Using their natural abilities and talents, students will be prepared for a life of leadership and following Christ faithfully inside and outside of Liberty Christian.

Selection for membership in the Liberty Christian chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) is based upon careful consideration of four distinct areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students in grades 10–12 are considered for invitation when they have met Liberty’s scholarship requirements. After meeting scholarship requirements, students provide information to be used by the Liberty Christian School Faculty Council to support their candidacy for membership.

Student Government is made of up two branches: Student Council and Class Officers.

Student Council: Students in grades 8-11 have the opportunity to run for one of 13 Student Council positions. There are five officer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian) plus a male and female representative for each grade level. Students meeting all necessary requirements may choose to run. Elections occur in the spring of the school year. Students elected to these positions will become the Student Council officers and representatives for the upcoming school year. Student Council serves as a liaison between students and administrators.
 
Class Officers: Students in grades 8-11 have the opportunity to run for one of five Class Officer positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian. Students meeting all necessary requirements will be put on the ballot and elections will occur in the spring of the school year. Students elected to these positions will become the Class Officers for their respective grade level for the upcoming school year. Class Officers will work together on grade-level activities to promote unity within their grade.
 
Both branches of the Student Government are in place to promote unity and school spirit throughout the student body and among faculty and staff. 

The TAPPS Team exists to provide team-building, training and preparation time for students interested in competing on the TAPPS Academic Team. Academic coaches will be on hand to prepare students in the various categories as well as provide test-taking strategies, study skills, focused study time, and more.
