Lower School

Primary School header 2024

Whether your child is stepping into their first classroom experience in Kindergarten, or is progressing to more advanced lessons in elementary school, you want them to have every opportunity to build confidence in themselves and their learning abilities.

As a parent, you also recognize that this is a formative season for your child. You want them to learn healthy social skills and how to problem solve, cultivate creativity, and develop character. And because they are easily influenced at their young age, you also want them to be taught the same values and beliefs you model at home.

Families looking for a Christian elementary school in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas have found all of this and more at Liberty Christian School. Our kindergarten and elementary program is a place where your little one can grow and be known, nurtured, and encouraged at the beginning of their academic experience.

Fostering a lifelong love of learning

All of our classes are kept small so your child will receive the individualized attention they need to grow, discover, ask questions, and form concepts in their ever-expanding young mind. Our teachers teach a student-centered, traditional education, providing little learners with captivating and hands-on learning experiences.

At Liberty Christian, every subject, activity, service project, and enrichment class is always centered around biblical principles and our relationship with Christ. Being biblically based is ingrained into our school’s DNA! Like you, we want your child to have a foundation that will not only help them academically, but also throughout life.

Meet a Teacher

Jennifer Johnson Meet a Teacher

“My favorite part of teaching is when I see a student's 'aha moment' – when what they have been working so hard for just clicks, and they smile. It’s the best!"

– Mrs. J

Name: Jennifer Johnson

Degree: Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies

Teaching Experience: 12 years

Favorite student quote: "Mrs. J, did you know that 'stressed' is just 'desserts' spelled backward. Coincidence? I think not!"

What does teaching mean to you:  For me, teaching is showing up each day for my students, meeting them where they are, seeing them as the child God perfectly knit together, and sharing the good news of Jesus. I am truly grateful God called me to be at Liberty to help inspire and equip leaders to impact the world for Christ. There truly is no greater job!!

Favorite children’s book: This is a tough choice! In fact, I am going to have to mention three of my favorite books for very different reasons!

My first choice, "Is God Still Awake?" by Sheila Walsh. It is a beautiful book about a young girl asking a big question to God. I love when students ask me questions about their faith. What a privilege it is to have the opportunity to dive into God’s Word for answers!

My next favorite is "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. This book illustrates the beauty of differences, acceptance, growth, compassion, empathy, and humility. God makes us perfectly us! One of my favorite quotes comes from Wonder: "When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind." – Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. Kindness is huge in my classroom. We never know someone else's story. We meet them where they are and love them the way Christ loves us!

Last, but not least, is "Frog and Toad Are Friends" by Arnold Lobel! This was the first chapter book I fell in love with as a child! This book is filled with humor and a beautiful friendship between a Frog and Toad!
