Life in Liberty's Lower School

Chapel

Lower School students enjoy chapel with their teachers, parents, and peers at least once a month.

Grandparents Day

Lower School and ECE welcome more than 800 grandparents each spring on Grandparents Day. Students enjoy breakfast with their grandparents, perform for them at their morning choir concert, and then spend rest of the morning showing them around their classrooms.

Homecoming Week

Lower School students join in on the fun of Homecoming Week by dressing up to the theme of the day and celebrating with Upper School students. Most Lower School students and their families attend the home football games, where boys and girls play on the field at halftime.

Mission Days

Each grade in Lower School participates in one Mission Day per year, starting in Kindergarten.

Kindergarten – Good Samaritan Village in Denton
First Grade – Local Missions Day at Liberty
Second Grade – Christian Community Action Food Pantry
Third Grade – Mi Escuelita School in Dallas
Fourth Grade – Denton County Day School
Fifth Grade – Mission Arlington

Daily P.E. Classes

Lower School students attend PE class for 30 minutes every day of the school week. Physical activity and motor skills form the core of the program. It teaches and promotes health and fitness, self-discipline, inclusion of all students, and most importantly, a Christ-like attitude. The program promotes a lifetime of personal wellness.
