Liberty Christian School was established with a vision to offer an exemplary, college preparatory education in a Christian environment. Our students fulfill that vision by expressing their God-given gifts in academics, fine arts, and athletics, and growing spiritually through daily Bible classes, chapels, mission trips, and class retreats. A byproduct of the excellence of our students, staff, and parents is earning the prestigious honor of being named the Overall State Champions in Texas.
We at Liberty are a distinct community of believers who are rooted, grounded, and committed to the continued success of our students.
The words "rooted" and "grounded" come from one of my favorite Bible passages. The Apostle Paul prays for the Ephesians, that as they are rooted and grounded in love, they may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. That same prayer is my prayer for all of you. The spiritual roots of our school are grounded in Christ's love, and it is His love that drives us toward excellence in all we teach and in all we do.
The Liberty family expands far beyond our students, as we come together as parents, grandparents, alumni, staff, and surrounding community to build up each other in Christ. Our students are confident in God's love for them and are highly valued because they are His. That confidence allows them to pursue excellence while exercising the unique gifts God has given them. We take great pleasure in cheering them on together and creating a community of mutual respect for the Master-crafted uniqueness of each individual.
Liberty recently embarked on a monumental campaign, "Great Expectations," which addressed the immediate needs of our school and provided a bold and exciting vision for the future. Our Master Plan Committee and Board of Trustees presented projects which will be constructed in two phases. Complete as of January 2016, Phase I included a new Upper School wing, Lower School gym and lunchroom, six additional classrooms shared by Lower School and ECE, new library, plus additional roads and much-needed parking. On the horizon, I dream of building a Worship and Performing Arts Auditorium along with a double gymnasium. The generosity of former and current families, along with corporate and foundation gifts, allow these vital additions to our campus.
Children are fun! I believe a school has to be steeped in fun to reach children of all ages with the joy of learning. The delight on our students' faces in class and in the hallways makes everything we do worthwhile. We invite you to be rooted and grounded with us as you embrace His love and the love this school family has for you.
