What We Believe

Liberty’s vision is to empower students to embrace a lifestyle that stands firmly for all values consistent with God’s word.

Liberty’s mission is to fulfill our vision by working in concert with families who profess faith in Jesus Christ by providing a college preparatory education based on God’s Holy Word.

Biblical Education

There are many good reasons for enrolling your child in a Christian school. However, the reason above all others is that God requires parents to educate their children according to His principles. Note God’s instructions...

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 - “And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart, you shall teach them diligently to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

Proverbs 22:6 - “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Ephesians 6:4
- “And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

Colossians 2:8
- “Be careful that no one spoils your faith through intellectualism or high sounding nonsense, guided by human tradition, following material ways of looking at things, instead of following Christ.”

Jeremiah 10:2
- “Thus saith the Lord, ‘Learn not the way of the heathen.’”

Proverbs 19:27
- “Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.”

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His vicarious and substitutional atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  4. We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  6. We believe that God created man in His own image, but because of sin, man is in need of a Savior, and that salvation comes through faith in Christ Jesus, the Son of the Living God. Through faith in Him as Lord and Savior, we are declared righteous by God.

  7. We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

School Unity

Even though a variety of denominations are represented among our staff and school families, God has blessed LCS with much unity. We are exhorted in Ephesians 4 to walk worthy of the position that we have in Christ, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

Philosophy

The real difference between a Christian school and the public school is philosophy. Liberty Christian School holds a God-centered philosophy of education, one that is based upon the Word of God. The primary objective and purpose of the school is to train the student in the way of life presented in the Scriptures while giving him a quality education.

Spiritual Emphasis

At Liberty, we encourage all students to develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We teach students that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, and we equip our students with a Biblical worldview.

Academic Emphasis

As a Christian college preparatory school, Liberty readies its students for each successive step in their academic career. It is our goal to educate the whole child. Our highly qualified faculty delivers a curriculum that is rich, varied, and aimed at helping students acquire knowledge and develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
