 Wee Warriors Early Childhood Education is available for 3 to 4-year-olds (preschool) and 4 to 5-year-olds (pre-kindergarten). Placement is based on the child's age as of September 1 of the enrollment year. Enrollment for the current school year is approximately 110. Class size is maintained at 12 for preschool and 16 for prekindergarten.
Curriculum
The A Beka program is the primary academic curriculum used and is supplemented with special units on educational themes such as Community Helpers, Texas, Transportation, Seasons, Jesus is Born, Bugs, Jungle, Oceans, Weather, Space, Children Around the World, Bears, Love, My America, and many others.
Enrichment
The vision of our program is to train these young minds in the first steps of a formal education with a solid Christian foundation while stimulating their natural curiosity to learn. This is achieved through creative teaching methods in subjects including art, computer education, creative movement and music, and fun with food. Age-appropriate Computer classes augment classroom learning by reinforcing phoneme awareness, math concepts, and Bible stories in a fun, enriching environment. Creative Movement and Music classes help students develop large motor skills and introduce them to musical instruments while fostering a love of music through praise and worship. Each week the children are introduced to new foods and creative ways to prepare food with our Fun with Food time. Art is a fun part of learning, and various media are used to introduce children to a world of creativity and self expression.
Environment
Liberty’s ECE program offers a wide variety of opportunities for children to learn and grow in a safe, comfortable Christian environment. Our teachers demonstrate godly character in a classroom with smaller ratios, allowing them to nurture the children in a loving, attentive manner. We have CPR and First Aid Certified staff and two registered nurses on campus.
Operation
Hours are from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm, following the Liberty school calendar for holidays and breaks. Nutritional meals and snacks are served every day. Before-care (7:45 am - 8:30 am) and after-care (2:45 pm - 6:00 pm) are available at an additional charge.
